The Belarusian opposition leader spoke about this on the air of Espreso.TV.

"The self-proclaimed president of Belarus Lukashenko has clear goals from a meeting with the president of the aggressor country Russia Putin. Lukashenko wants to receive additional guarantees from Putin to compensate for the losses that the Belarusian regime incurs because of its stupid position of participating in aggression against Ukraine. We are talking about those  agreements that were reached a few weeks ago: the forgiveness of all debt obligations, access to the market of the Russian Federation, other financial and trading instruments that could compensate for the losses that the Lukashenko regime is now suffering", Latushko said.

The diplomat added that even during the meeting of the Security Council at the end of last week, President of Belarus Lukashenko complained in a closed circle that Russia was not fulfilling its obligations and was ready to buy Belarusian products only at the cost price.

"Russia's actions do not compensate for the super profits that Lukashenko's economy received during 2021 in trade, for example, with the European Union - the growth of exports from Belarus amounted to 153%. Even in January-February 2022, exports grew, and GDP grew accordingly. This is  speaks about the effectiveness of the sanctions that the West imposes against such regimes as in Belarus, so the meeting between Putin and Lukashenko will be about compensation, about the role of the Belarusian dictator in the negotiation process, but in any case, Lukashenko is an aggressor, Putin's puppet and can only be  appropriate in the aggression that is now being carried out by Russia with the support of the Belarusian regime against Ukraine", Pavlo Latushko noted.
