Belarus begins territorial army training near border with Ukraine

This was reported by the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.

Military training for conscripts of the territorial forces will take place from January 8 to 31, under the supervision of the head of the Gomel Executive Committee.

The exercises are designed to restore the command staff’s skills in managing their subordinates and prepare conscripts for various tasks, including coordination with the engineering units of the Belarusian Armed Forces.

• Earlier, it was reported that Belarus is increasing its military presence near the border with Ukraine. The Center for Countering Disinformation stated that, at present, there is no threat of an invasion by Belarusian regular forces.
