Liberation of Urozhaine lasted several weeks - soldier Oleksandr Molodyi
The biggest difficulty in liberating Ukrainian territories is the multi-echelon Russian defence
Oleksandr Molodyi told about this in a comment to the journalist of Espreso.
"It is difficult to liberate every metre of land here," says Oleksandr Molodyi. - "The liberation of Urozhaine lasted several weeks. And the biggest challenge is the Russian multi-echelon defence: minefields, concrete, metal, trenches, dugouts and long-term defensive points that are difficult to pass. This applies not only to Urozhaine, but to the entire frontline. Unlike us, they immediately start digging trenches and dugouts after capturing some territories, then fill it with concrete, and then make a second and third line. In addition, it's all mined."
Oleksandr Molodyi says the price of liberating Ukrainian territories is very high.
"The price of liberation of Urozhaine, Staromayorske and any battles, any landing, any village is very high. I am talking about the dead, the wounded and the maimed. This is a lot of blood and sweat. Of course, the village was destroyed, like any village that was on the line of fire. In addition, there were also locals. They were evacuated after the liberation. Of course, when they retreated or were knocked out of their positions, they then tried to raze the position to the ground. This is happening with Staromayorske and Urozhaine. And it will happen to other settlements if we manage to recapture them. Everything is as usual, they are hitting the settlements they left behind, hitting our rear, our logistics. We are doing the same thing."
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have liberated Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast
