Fake video of U.S. journalists mocking Ukrainian military deaths debunked
A fake video circulating online falsely shows American journalists mocking the deaths of the Ukrainian military in the war against Russia

Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation reported this.
The misleading video begins with a report about Ukrainian refugees in the United States, followed by one of the journalists saying, “I saw one man and 25 women. He is a lucky man,” to which another journalist responds, “Yes, they are all dead.”
The Center for Countering Disinformation states that the video is edited. It combines two separate recordings. The first part is a report by MSNBC about Ukrainian refugees, aired on April 3, 2023. The second part comes from the Good Morning Cincinnati TV show on Local 12, broadcast in June 2024. The center emphasized that neither Ukraine nor the Ukrainian military were mentioned in this local TV segment.
Therefore, the statements in the video are completely fabricated and do not appear in the original footage, Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation added.
