Ukraine’s key to victory: military reveals game-changing strategy to end Russia's war
Yehor Firsov, serviceman with Ukraine's 109th Battalion, believes that the Russian-Ukrainian war is unlikely to end anytime soon
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"I believe that the war will not end anytime soon because it is not in the Russian interest. The enemy is dragging out time, and all these talks are just distractions. The only possible chance to end this war is to significantly increase the impact of drones to 'dry out' the war, to ensure that the frontline doesn't move. The war needs to shift from the current maneuver warfare - where we unfortunately lost one kilometer, gained some elsewhere - to positional warfare, where nothing moves, and the enemy must bear total losses," he said.
Yehor Firsov noted that only by inflicting significant losses on the Russians will they be forced to sit at the negotiation table and engage in talks.
"While they are having success, unfortunately, they will not want to make any concessions," added the serviceman.
- In an interview with American podcaster Lex Friedman, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will try to play along with the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, repeating the same military-political maneuver he used with Zelenskyy in 2019.
