'Historic event': two Russian Pantsir air defense systems destroyed near Skadovsk
Ukrainian Volunteer Army spokesperson Serhii Bratchuk confirmes the destruction of two Russian Pantsir gun-missile complexes in the Skadovsk area
He shared this information on the Espreso TV channel.
"The past few days have brought great news for Ukraine about taking down enemy air defense systems. Yesterday, two S-300 launchers were destroyed. Today, we learned that two Osa anti-aircraft missile systems were also eliminated. All of this happened in the south of the country," Bratchuk highlighted.
According to Bratchuk, what happened in the south is nothing short of historic. In the Skadovsk area, two Pantsir anti-aircraft systems – this time cannon-missile complexes – were destroyed by the Naval Forces. These systems had repeatedly caused serious challenges for Ukrainian defenders.
"The destruction of these systems became possible thanks to new technologies – naval drones. Previously, these drones were used as unmanned boats. Now, they are playing a crucial role in combat. They’re launching FPV drones, which were used to take out the two Pantsir systems. This strategy is already delivering results in the south. These enemy air defense systems don’t just target combat positions – they threaten civilians too," Bratchuk added.
- Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the invading Russian army has lost 800,000 of its soldiers at the front.
