Operators with the 8th Regiment of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces have killed 13 North Korean servicemen in Russia's Kursk region

The Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.
"In the course of special operations, Ukrainian servicemen killed five DPRK fighters in a small arms battle and eight more with the help of drones," the statement says.
After the battle, operators with the Special Operations Forces examined the bodies of the DPRK military. One of them had an assault rifle with a collimator sight, a Sino-Russian radio station Azart, a drone detector, as well as an ID card that differs from a regular military ID.
The Ukrainian military noted that the items found may indicate that he was an officer. In addition, a letter of appeal to the party was found.
- On January 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that at least 3,800 North Korean soldiers were killed or wounded in the war against Ukraine.
