In Ukraine, the process of restoring the state border in previously occupied territories is beginning

This was announced at a briefing at Media Center "Ukraine" by press secretary of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko.



 

Restoration of control over the Ukrainian borders is beginning in some regions: Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy.

 

"Border units are located at a certain distance from the border. Border guards are working together with Armed Forces of Ukraine to inspect the border areas and to allow our border guards to get as close as possible to the state border line. In some areas, this result has already been achieved Ukraine's state flags have already been raised in all three regions. At some areas this result has already been achieved, "Andriy Demchenko said.

 

Border guard added that there was a danger of mining area, as well as the detection of tank shells.

 

"We cannot endanger our troops. Therefore, work to restore full border control is still ongoing."

 

As for the situation on the other side of the border, Andriy Demchenko said that this work is within competence of Ukrainian intelligence.

 

"In areas where we managed to get out, we have not yet observed the equipment. But, of course, there is information (especially for the Sumy region) that the enemy's equipment still remains in some proximity distance to the border. Fortification measures near the border, which also poses a danger to border guards. " he said
