"On April 4, the state concern RRT, without warning, threw three national broadcasters off the air. The broadcasting of the Ukrainian independent TV channels ESPRESO, CHANNEL 5 and PRYAMIY was illegally stopped at a time when the war with Russia continues in Ukraine, including the information one. The management of the RRT concern in no way explains its actions, and ignores written appeals from television companies.

We are convinced that the illegal exclusion of Ukrainian TV channels from the air during the war is nothing but subversive work that damages the national interests of Ukraine, the government and the President of Ukraine.

Ukraine has paved the long way for EU membership. Today, at the cost of the lives of our citizens and in the struggle for our own statehood, we received a questionnaire for obtaining the status of a candidate for EU membership, a significant part of which is devoted to issues of freedom of speech as an important value of a democratic European society.

We ask you to immediately take appropriate measures to return the TV channels ESPRESO, CHANNEL 5 and PRYAMIY to digital air.

We are convinced that only by adhering to a unified information policy, the principles of freedom of speech and the rule of law, we will be able to defeat not only the information invasion of the invader, but also bring closer the common victory of Ukraine over the aggressor.
