After 2014, Ukraine has come a long way in state-building, based on the development of  Armed Forces, protection of identity of our people and its European aspirations. This was stated by Petro Poroshenko in an exclusive interview with the TV channel "Pramyi".

Asked why  slogan "Army. Language. Faith" became relevant again after February 24, Poroshenko said: "Watershed did not happen on February 24. This is  culmination.  Watershed occurred in 2014."

"Army was my first priority. Army of 2014 and 2019 simply cannot be compared. Life has proved authenticity and correctness of joint work, joint choice of people," Poroshenko said.

"Language shapes soul of people. I think it is absolutely wrong now to discuss whether or not to study Russian. What are you talking about? We have languages that are most commonly used in the world, in addition to our official language English, French. optional - Russian, but no advantage, just to fight the enemy, "- said Poroshenko.

"Today, no one can even question the importance of church's role. I want to thank  Orthodox Church of Ukraine. It is gratifying that  transition of communities has resumed," Poroshenko said.

"Right processes have begun in Moscow Church - Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine. Today they refuse to remember Russian criminal Kirill. He is a criminal who blesses murderers, barbarians, looters to destroy Ukraine. And he will be among those responsible for crimes against humanity, "Poroshenko said.

"Today it is very important to continue this work and not be ashamed to acknowledge importance of what has been done in eight years. A country in eight years is different. A country where democracy is and should be preserved. A country where freedom is and should be preserved "A country that is able to defend itself and enjoys unconditional authority in the world," Petro Poroshenko said.

"If the country had not changed and met the war, God forbid, in state it was in 2014, it is unknown how it would have been," Poroshenko said.
