US leaves for Putin not a gap, but whole window of opportunity to end his war - diplomat Chaly
The US is holding private communications with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about the consequences of using nuclear weapons against Ukraine to leave him a way out
Diplomat Valery Chalyi said this on Espreso.
"I think the problem is that Washington maintains a line of closed communication with Russia. They think that this will help, they leave some escape routes for Putin personally and his group. They have always left such a loophole for them. But now it is not a loophole, this is a whole window of opportunity for Putin to actually just stop the war," he said.
According to the diplomat, the Russian dictator is no longer afraid of external threats, but internal ones, so he tries to keep the Russian Federation under control.
"But from the point of view of his purely internal tasks of maintaining control over Russia, Putin still sees threats more internally than externally. Paradoxically, all his reactions in connection with these decisions on referendums and threats are also connected with the fact that he was pressured by an even more radical wing than he," Valery Chaly noted.
The Ukrainian diplomat is convinced that the US will not publicly make statements about radical actions against Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
"So, there won't be any official statements about Putin personally, although, of course, I don't know how he differs from terrorists. It's obvious that he's the same," he added.
