Ukraine’s Black Sea battle will go down in history – Zelenskyy
Ukraine's success in the battle for the Black Sea is a historic achievement and will be in history textbooks, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
He expressed this in an evening video message on October 31.
“The modern world quickly gets accustomed to success. When full-scale aggression began, many around the world expected Ukraine to not withstand. Now, the incredible things our people, our soldiers, are doing are perceived as a given. Ukraine's success in the battle for the Black Sea is what will be in history textbooks, though it's not discussed as often now. But... Whatever may be, we must do our part – protect our country, Ukrainian independence, our lives, our culture, Ukrainian freedom,” he said.
According to the president, Ukraine needs to grow stronger daily.
"I thank everyone in the world who is helping Ukraine. Glory to every one of our soldiers! Glory to all those who never retreat, never burn out, who believe in Ukraine just as they did on February 24, and who continue to fight for Ukraine, those who care for Ukraine. Adding strength to our state every day – that's what's needed," said the Ukrainian president in his address.
- In Simon Shuster's Time column, it was mentioned that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is weary of assuring his partners about Ukraine's future victory. A member of his team said that “most of all, Zelensky feels betrayed by his Western allies. They have left him without the means to win the war, only the means to survive it.”
- Mykhailo Podolyak, the president’s advisor, questioned the sources of information used by the journalist in the Time column about President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
