Saboteurs won't get through: YouControl created the "TyHto" app for instant face verification

Indeed, in wartime, the correct identification of a person can cost the lives of citizens. Considering these risks, the YouControl analytical service, together with Artellence and with the support of the SBU, developed a free application "TyHto" (Who are you) to quickly check individuals at checkpoints, on the street during curfew, at the entrance to a shelter or anywhere.

Why "TyHto" was created 

The territorial defense, police and military check thousands of people every day at roadblocks and right on the streets. With all care and caution, there is a risk of missing a dangerous person, because "in the field" there is no access to all the necessary data about a person. Namely, his possible connections with crime, the DRG and the "Russian world". And while the Armed Forces of Ukraine are fighting on the front line, saboteurs, gunners, collaborators continue to harm from the rear, skillfully disguising themselves as law-abiding citizens.

To reduce such risks, YouControl, together with Artellence and with the support of the SSU, developed a free application "TyHto" for quick verification of individuals. This application is a unique and effective development. The main advantages are a large number of public sources of information, face comparison technologies, and photo search in social networks.

The main mission is to deepen awareness of who is in front of you. And thus improve accuracy and speed up checks in wartime and beyond.

Application verifies information:

  - correspondence of the photo in the passport to the presenting person

  - passport invalid or lost

  - whether the person is on the state wanted list

  - whether the person is on the register of terrorists

  - whether NSDC sanctions have been imposed on the person

  - being on the list of military terrorists and the VRG

  - stay in the base "Peacemaker"

  - whether the car is wanted

Important: the application does not contain, store or transmit personal data of persons. It contains public data from open registries. If the risk factor has worked, this is not proof that you have a criminal in front of you, this is a signal for police officers or other services to pay attention and conduct a deeper and more detailed check.

How it works?

The application asks for the full name, series and number of the passport, date of birth of the person being checked. One point is enough, but the more information, the more accurate the check.  You can take a picture of a person and his photo in the passport so that the system establishes a match. Or mismatch.

To check the car, enter its number. If the car is not wanted, you will receive a response with the car's parameters: make, model, color and year of manufacture.  This check identifies vehicles using the license plates of other vehicles.

Now you know if you can trust the person in front of you. Or, perhaps, the person requires additional in-depth verification by the police or special services.

For whom is it suitable? Most of all, the application will be useful to representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Territorial Defense, Security Service, National Guard, state bodies, volunteers and munvart during daily verification of persons. However, everyone can use it.  For example, when checking the landlord or tenant. Even new neighbors can be checked.
