Drones attack a tug and barge in the Taganrog bay in Russia

Russian media claim that on the evening of Saturday, June 8, drones attacked the tugboat Engineer Smirnov and the barge Section-179 in Russia's Taganrog Bay.

This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel Baza.

According to the channel, the attack on the tugboat Engineer Smirnov and the barge Section-179 took place at around 21:00 on June 8. At the time, the tug's captain allegedly said that as a result of the attack, the barge had minor damage above the waterline, and the tug's windows were smashed.

In addition, two crew members were lightly injured.

Meanwhile, the pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel Krymskiy Vet claims that the Ukrainian military used 'kamikaze' drones to attack the Engineer Smirnov while it was towing Section-179.

Ukrainian Dmytro Udovychenko wins music competition in Belgium

This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

25-year-old Ukrainian violinist Dmytro Udovychenko won the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Belgium. The competition was founded in 1937 on the initiative of Queen Elizabeth of Belgium and Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe

In 2024, this competition was dedicated to the violin for the twentieth time.

One of the awards Dmytro Udovychenko received was the opportunity to play a 1708 Stradivarius Huggins violin for four years. Other awards include concerts in Belgium and abroad.

It is noteworthy that during the award ceremony, the musician defiantly did not shake hands with one of the jury members, Russian Vadim Repin.

Peace Summit will be attended by 90 states and organizations

On Monday, June 10, the Swiss government announced that 90 states and organisations have registered for the Global Peace Summit, which will be held from 15 to 16 June.

Reuters reports this with reference to the Swiss government's data.

According to the Swiss government, the aim of the summit is to "jointly define a roadmap" for engaging Russia and Ukraine in the future peace process.

Russia itself will not attend the Peace Summit, calling it a waste of time. Switzerland claims that it was not invited to participate because Russia has made it clear that it is not interested in it.

According to the Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, the summit will discuss issues of widespread international concern, such as the need for nuclear and food security, freedom of navigation, and issues such as prisoners of war.

Guerrillas discover location of Russian radio relay station in Crimea

This was reported by the Atesh movement.

It is noted that the agent discovered the location of R-419 in the Razdolnensky district of the peninsula. According to the guerrillas, the purpose of this station is to deploy radio relay or cable communication lines, branching channels to use it as a radio insert on damaged or repaired cable communication lines.

"The exhibit is very valuable for the racists and is quite modern. It was adopted in 2018," the statement added.

Defense forces destroy several Russian air defense systems in Crimea

On the night of June 10, the Ukrainian Defence Forces successfully attacked the occupiers' S-400 anti-aircraft missile division near Dzhankoy, as well as two enemy S-300 anti-aircraft missile divisions near Chornomorske and Yevpatoria.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As stated in the report, in these areas, after the strikes of Ukrainian missile launchers, the radars of the S-300/S-400 complexes stopped working. In addition, further detonation of ammunition took place in all three areas of the starting positions of Russian anti-aircraft missile divisions.

"Due to the successful combat work of the Defense Forces, the air defense of the Russian invaders in the Ukrainian Crimea suffered significant losses," the General Staff added, stressing that none of the Ukrainian missiles launched were intercepted by the enemy's "highly effective" air defense.

"Putin is furious": Ukraine's intelligence describes Kremlin's reaction to targeted Su-57

A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said that the Kremlin's reaction was "hot and strong" after the Russian Su-57 fighter jet had been targeted

He said this during a national telethon.

Yusov made it clear that Ukrainian intelligence can confirm the fact that the Su-57 was targeted in Russia, but the operation itself, he said, can be neither confirmed nor denied.

"But yes, it's great news: Putin is really furious, and the reaction in the Kremlin is very hot and tangible. Because they tried to carefully hide and protect the Su-57s. And these Su-57s never entered the airspace of Ukraine - they were afraid of being shot down," the intelligence representative said.

He added that the Russian occupation army intentionally exaggerated the characteristics of the fighter jet to sell it and to be present on the international arms market. In particular, the aircraft was also used for missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, and therefore the punishment was deserved.

In addition, Yusov stated that he had information about the destruction of two Su-57s, as well as the deaths and injuries of Russian troops. At the same time, Russia's information field has so far confirmed that only one warplane had been hit.

The other three injured are members of the so-called self-defense group.  One of them was taken by an ambulance to hospital No. 2 in Belgorod with injuries to his limbs. Two others were provided with medical care and will be treated on an outpatient basis.
