European security could pressure Trump to support Ukraine – political scientist
Political scientist Volodymyr Tsybulko believes Kyiv should place greater emphasis on Ukraine's role in European security to ensure continued U.S. support
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
“We have several ways to encourage Donald Trump to support Ukraine. First, there’s the matter that Zelenskyy halted and did not let Democrats develop - specifically, access to mineral resources. I’m very interested to see when the agreement for the sale of titanium deposits will be canceled. Secondly, there’s Ukraine’s role in European security. Trump will, in any case, look for ways to shift the responsibility for Europe’s security onto Europe itself, and in this context, Ukraine would definitely be essential,” Tsybulko explained.
The political scientist noted that for the Donald Trump administration to support Ukraine, Kyiv needs to start working on a proposal now. It’s clear that in exchange for support and aid, Trump would expect something in return.
