"Don't let them drain resources": military commander reacts to Trump
Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade Maksym Zhorin has reacted to U.S. President Donald Trump's statement on the exchange of rare earth elements
Maksym Zhorin wrote about this on Telegram.
"The situation when the country's resources are used in negotiations is not new or unexpected. We really have rare elements, which are almost nowhere else in the world, and which are very important for modern technologies. But we should not look like natives who give up valuable resources for a bottle of alcohol, " the deputy commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade believes.
Zhorin emphasized that Ukraine should first of all think about its national interests and prospects.
"If we agree on the use of our resources, enterprises and production facilities should be built here, jobs should be created. And not just let all the resources be scrapped to zero and left without anything. So that next time there is nothing to offer," added Maksym Zhorin.
