Russia likely increases Shahed drone warhead to 90kg — Kharkiv official
Kharkiv Regional Council deputy Oleksandr Skoryk says that Russia has increased the Shahed UAV warhead, making explosions more powerful and causing greater destruction in Ukraine
He shared this information on Espreso TV.
"Around 2:30 a.m. today, two loud explosions were heard in the city. There is information that Russia has increased the explosive charge of the Shahed UAV to 90 kg. It explains the force of the blasts. A massive fire broke out at the impact site in the Saltivskyi district. It was only extinguished by morning. The contact network in a historic building was damaged. Sadly, we are likely to lose this architectural monument because the fire was extensive. One person from a neighboring house was also injured and suffered an acute stress reaction," Skoryk said.
The deputy also reported that Russian forces targeted an educational institution in Kharkiv.
"The second strike hit the Slobidskyi district, damaging a seven-story educational building. Windows were shattered, and the explosion was extremely powerful. With Russia increasing the Shahed UAV’s warhead, their attacks are becoming deadlier, causing even more destruction on our territory," he added.
- On the evening of February 4, Russian forces launched strike drones against Ukraine. As a result, four people were injured in Kherson, and an administrative building was hit in Kharkiv.
