Gimli robotic complex joins Ukraine's army, aiding in evacuation and resupply
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and allowed the Gimli ground robotic complex to be used in the Armed Forces: it can evacuate the wounded and transport ammunition
The Ministry of Defense informs about this.
The Gimli ground robotic complex is designed to perform many tasks in high-intensity combat operations, since it is a universal unmanned platform.
As the Ministry of Defense said, the robotic complex can perform various tasks depending on the configuration and attached equipment. In particular, it can evacuate the wounded, assist with the movement of personnel, transport ammunition, weapons and property.
"In addition, the Gimli can be equipped with weapons and perform the functions of a mobile combat module, carrying out fire damage to enemy targets. Gimli robots have small dimensions, thanks to which they are easy to transport. They are equipped with a silent electric motor. A full battery charge is enough for several hours of continuous operation. The robots are able to perform tasks both day and night," the report says.
- During January, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved for operation in the army about 130 new models of weapons and military equipment. Approximately 100 of them were manufactured by Ukrainian arms-makers.
