Russian forces scale back assaults in Pokrovsk sector: Ukrainian officer explains why
Lieutenant Colonel Serhii Tsekhotskyi says that the Russia army has almost halved the number of assault actions in the Pokrovsk direction
He shared the information Espreso TV.
“The Pokrovsk direction remains the hottest spot. Russia continues to attack but has nearly halved the number of assaults. This is primarily due to the fact that the enemy’s numbers have significantly decreased. So far, around 843,000 Russian soldiers have been eliminated since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and with each passing day, the number of invaders continues to shrink,” Tsekhotskyi emphasized.
According to the officer, although the intensity of battles in the Pokrovsk direction has decreased, the number of eliminated Russian soldiers has remained approximately the same. This indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have the capability to effectively strike them regardless of their location — whether during assaults or while amassing forces.
“This proves to the world that Ukraine’s Defense Forces have become highly professional, skilled, and knowledgeable in their field. They effectively use both the available and newly arriving weapons. The Armed Forces now possess effective strike capabilities, and we are actively developing this direction. A key development is the new branch of the military — the Unmanned Systems Forces — which is rapidly gaining momentum,” Tsekhotskyi noted.
- Suspilne Donbas editor-in-chief Andrii Kramchenkov, mentioned that while the intensity of battles in the Pokrovsk direction has slightly decreased, the number of assaults in the Kramatorsk direction has increased.
