Ukraine will not get NATO membership under Trump's presidency - Yatsenyuk
Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2014-2016, Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum, Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that Russia's victory in Ukraine would mean the defeat of the United States
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
“Under the presidency of Donald Trump, Ukraine will not become a member of NATO. Of course, there are miracles, but as of now, I do not see this probability. It is a shame that the current U.S. administration did not take advantage of two opportunities to grant Ukraine NATO membership last year and this year. And it is already clear that by the end of this year we will not receive any NATO membership, we will not even receive an invitation,” said Yatsenyuk.
The chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum also added that the Ukrainian government and Western allies now face an incredible task — to convey to Trump and explain to him that Russia's victory in Ukraine will mean the defeat of the United States. A defeat for the United States in the face of China, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Hamas, Hezbollah, and dozens of other dictatorial regimes that want the United States to fall.
“We need to try to do the unthinkable — to convince Trump that this is in the interests of the United States and in his personal interests. Because he will not care enough about what is happening in Ukraine, he will care about what is happening in the White House and the United States,” Yatsenyuk said.
- On October 31, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared the results of the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe summit and said that all partner countries supported the Victory Plan.
- One of the points of the Plan is the invitation of Ukraine to join NATO. Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak assured that support for Ukraine's future full membership in the Alliance is growing among NATO members.
