'All countries support Victory Plan': Zelenskyy summarizes Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has shared the results of the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit, saying that all partner countries supported the Victory Plan
He wrote about this on Telegram.
“Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland, and Sweden are ready to increase support for our defense. All Nordic partners have supported Ukraine's Victory Plan - clear points that strengthen our ability to bring a just peace closer,” the Ukrainian president wrote.
According to Zelenskyy, during the summit, the leaders discussed how to supply Ukraine with additional air defense systems, including Patriot. The partners also agreed to increase defense production both in Ukraine and in each other's countries.
Zelenskyy said that the summit also discussed in detail Ukraine's need for geopolitical certainty.
“Inviting Ukraine to NATO is a way to strengthen not only Ukraine, but all partners in the Alliance. This will open up a much more positive security perspective for all NATO member states in the long run, as it will put an end to Russia's imperial ambitions,” he wrote.
- Zelenskyy arrived in Iceland on Monday, October 28, for a working visit to the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit.
- During the visit, he met with the country's president and the prime ministers of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The main topics discussed were preparations for the second Peace Summit and Ukraine's defense needs.
