Diplomat Valeriy Chaly, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, believes that Russian leader Vladimir Putin will continue to give orders to use the Oreshnik missile in Ukraine

He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

“The Russian leader began to say cynical things, like, let's choose a target in the center of Kyiv and I will hit it. So that you understand, that was the blow. My version is this, and I think I'm close to the truth, that they were preparing their Oreshnik, but something hasn't worked out yet. I'm sure they will do it, they will show that the Oreshnik can fly this distance. Because the strike in Dnipro did not convince anyone of anything. And now, without this Oreshnik, the Führer has already made a statement, so they need to show with ballistic weapons that, from their point of view, should have all reached, but did not,” the diplomat said.

According to him, Putin had previously said that these missiles cannot be shot down, but it is clear that they are not easy to shoot down, we can see it with our own eyes.

“Despite the fact that the world is now getting used to it, we need to emphasize again that there is an aggressor and a victim. Americans say that the U.S. president will be the arbiter. But we don't need arbitrators, this is not a game, because here Ukraine is simply being bombarded with strategic weapons. We, Ukrainians, will not be intimidated by this, but the world must get used to the fact that there are two sides of the war. There is an aggressor to whom the world can not respond in accordance with its basic principles, and Ukraine is the only one doing so. That's why today's photos of Kyiv should be on the desks of all decision-makers in the West every time. People there are also starting to get used to the war, and they want to end it as soon as possible. Therefore, our information efforts should be tripled,” emphasized Valeriy Chaly.

  • On the morning of December 20, the Russian army launched missiles at Ukraine. Debris fell in several districts of Kyiv, killing one person and injuring 13 others.
  • As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv, the embassies of Albania, Argentina, Palestine, North Macedonia, Portugal, and Montenegro were damaged.
