Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi shared this information during a briefing. He explained that all of these embassies are housed in the same building, which was damaged by a Russian missile strike. Tykhyi said that windows, doors, and ceiling fragments were shattered in the building.
"This is an absolutely barbaric attack and a strike by Russia against diplomatic institutions. As you know, such attacks are a violation of all international rules and red lines," Tykhyi emphasized.
He confirmed that none of the foreign diplomats were injured, but stressed that the attack serves as “another reminder of Russia's barbaric aggression against Ukraine.”
- On the morning of December 20, the Russian army fired missiles at Ukraine. Debris fell in several districts of Kyiv, injuring at least 11 people.
