Germany sends additional IRIS-T air defense system to Ukraine
On December 20, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that another IRIS-T air defense system was being delivered to Ukraine

He made the statement at the briefing after a European Council meeting in Brussels, according to UNIAN.
"Another IRIS-T system is being delivered today, along with the Gepard SPAAG (self-propelled anti-aircraft guns), which we are continuing to supply with all the ammunition we've resumed production of," Scholz said.
However, the chancellor did not specify whether it was the IRIS-T SLS or IRIS-T SLM system.
- German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius suggested the country could potentially have a role in Ukraine as a peacekeeping force.
