Prior to that, the Kyiv City Military Administration warned of UAVs from the north heading for Kyiv.

Twenty minutes later, the Kyiv City Military Administration again reported air defense over the capital.

The Kyiv City Military Administration informed that as of 1:54 a.m., it was preliminarily known that an apartment in a residential building in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv had been significantly damaged as a result of the Russian attack.

“The wreckage of the UAV fell in Holosiivskyi district. According to preliminary information, garages are on fire. Emergency services are on their way to the scene,” said Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

The Kyiv City Military Administration informed that the fire had spread from the garages to the service station - the total area of fire is 300 square meters.

At 2:26 a.m., Klitschko reported that a shock wave damaged windows in some apartments of a residential building in the Holosiivskyi district.

At about 5 a.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration informed that air defense was operating in the region.

“In the Pechersk district, the upper floors of a high-rise building are on fire. All emergency services are at the scene.  The attack on the capital continues. Stay in shelters,” Klitschko wrote at 5:16 a.m.

Later, the Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that the wreckage of the Russian drone fell on an apartment building. There is currently smoke there, and people are being evacuated. There was no information about the victims.

At 5:34 a.m., it was reported that a partial destruction of the building's structures at the 31st floor level occurred in the Pechersk district. Emergency workers are working at the scene.

Klitschko said that in a high-rise building in Pechersk, as a result of the fall of UAV debris, a fire broke out on the 33rd (technical) floor.

“The evacuation of people continues. The city has organized 2 buses for the residents. No one has yet sought medical attention,” the mayor added.

A series of explosions occurred in Kyiv around 6 aюm. The Kyiv City Military Administration wrote about the work of air defense forces.

According to Klitschko, fragments of a Shahed were also recorded falling onto a residential building in Solomianskyi district. At another address, a non-residential building is on fire as a result of the attack.

Meanwhile, in the Pechersk district, a fire in a high-rise building was localized.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, said that the attack took place in waves, from different directions, with UAVs entering the city at different altitudes - both very low and high.

“As a result of the coordinated work of air defense and other components of the defense forces, more than three dozen Russian UAVs were neutralized in the airspace over Kyiv and on the outskirts of the city (the exact number and type of drones will be made public by the Air Force),” the statement said.

Espreso correspondent Dmytro Didora, who was in the Pechersk district of the capital, said that there was a lot of glass around the site of the crash, as utility workers were working there.

“There was information about evacuating the residents of this house. As of now, we have seen that the residents are there, taking their pets for a morning walk,” the correspondent said.
