Russian strike on Sumy region railroad kills one
On November 6, Russian forces targeted railway infrastructure in Ukraine's Sumy region, killing a woman and injuring a railway crossing guard
Ukrzalizhnytsia, Ukraine's state-owned company administering railway infrastructure, reported the information.
“As a result of a Russian attack on the Sumy region, a crossing guard was wounded. The railroad worker was taken to the hospital with a shoulder injury and provided with all the necessary assistance,” the statement said.
In addition, the attack damaged the railway infrastructure, including power supply elements and tracks.
The Prosecutor General's Office reported that at about 10 p.m., Russian troops dropped two guided aerial bombs on the civilian infrastructure of the Yampil community in Shostka district.
The Russian attack killed a 33-year-old employee of a gas station and injured another woman, a 53-year-old employee of Ukrainian Railways.
- On September 26, three railroad workers were injured in a Russian drone attack on a railway station in the Sumy region. The station building was also damaged.
