This was reported by the ministry's press service.
"These figures are not only about the scale of losses but also serve as a reminder of the tragic chapters in our history. Just as in the 1920s and early 1930s, Stalin's regime destroyed a generation of Ukrainian artists," the statement reads.
The ministry noted that Russia continues its deliberate destruction of Ukraine's cultural elite.
"Every one of our artists is a unique individual who enriched Ukrainian culture," emphasized the press service.
They added that Russian crimes against journalists and media pose a serious threat to freedom of speech and informational security, undermining democratic values and human rights.
- On December 5, the Ministry of Culture reported that Russian military aggression had claimed the lives of 134 Ukrainian artists and 93 journalists, including 7 foreigners who informed the world about events in Ukraine.
