Russia claims UAV attack: debris hits facility in Volgograd, power outages sweep Belgorod
On December 26, Russian authorities reported an alleged drone attack on the Belgorod, Volgograd, and Voronezh regions
Initially, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, wrote that the Grayvoronsky district was allegedly under attack by drones.
The explosive devices, according to him, damaged a power line. He said that residents of several settlements were left without electricity.
Gladkov blamed Ukraine for the attack.
The authorities of the Volgograd region, according to RBC, stated that the wreckage of one downed drone fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise in the Kotovsky district. However, it did not affect the main production facilities and did not cause a fire.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 5 UAVs, including 3 over the territory of Volgograd region, one over the territory of Voronezh region, and one over the territory of Belgorod region.
