Russia attacks with small infantry units, rarely using equipment — Ukraine's Rubizh Brigade
Danylo Borysenko, chief of the Rubizh Brigade's anti-aircraft missile and artillery unit, shared updates on the most intense frontline area over the past day
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"As of now, the Rubizh Brigade has its battalions positioned in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction and also in the Siversk direction. Over the past day, Russia attempted assaults across all the directions where the Rubizh Brigade's battalions are stationed. Specifically, there were seven attempts in the Kupyansk area, 26 in the Lyman area—which was the hottest spot of the day—and two assaults near Bilohorivka in the Siversk direction. Russian activity involving airstrikes with guided bombs has somewhat decreased, but they continue to heavily use artillery, including multiple-launch rocket systems, and deploy a significant number of FPV drones. While the Russian army mostly attempts attacks with small infantry groups, there are also instances where assaults involve the use of armored vehicles," he said.
Despite this, Danylo Borysenko emphasized that Ukrainian forces are holding the line firmly and effectively neutralizing the Russian forces, preventing them from advancing toward their positions.
"The defense remains steadfast, and our soldiers are working at peak efficiency to inflict maximum losses on the enemy. Our FPV drone units, in particular, are striving to work as effectively as possible, targeting the Russian troops even before they reach the front line. This enhances the safety of our infantry and prevents the enemy from closing in for close-quarters combat. Additionally, the invaders’ logistics are being disrupted further behind the front lines through the use of FPV drones and artillery. The Rubizh Brigade’s anti-aircraft units are also working effectively, targeting enemy reconnaissance drones such as Orlan, Zala, and Supercam. In short, we are operating as a unified team, supporting each other across different sectors. At various distances from the front line, our defense holds strong, and Russia has not achieved success in our areas," the soldier noted.
