Putin needs his own clan as counterweight to FSB, for this there are Kadyrov and Prigozhin - Feigin

This was said by the Russian opposition politician Mark Feigin on the air of the "Studio Zahid with Antin Borkovsky" program on the Espreso TV channel.

"He relies on such people. He needs a balance, he needs his own clan in addition to the FSB, despite the fact that this is his brainchild, the power system, so that there is a balance for him personally, which creates guarantees," he said.

In his opinion, Prigozhin and Kadyrov are people with inferior biographies.

"Prygozhin is on trial, bariga, he is followed by a "train"; Kadyrov killed the first Russian at the age of 16. These are clearly people who are predicted to have some kind of political future, but, frankly, they have no chance of it. Because with a similar background in Russia  realizing such a future, especially when you are a representative of one of the peoples, and it is not at all clear where Prigozhin came from, is still very difficult," the politician said.

Feigin noted that for Putin, these paramilitary formations - that Wagner's PMK, Kadyrov's units from the Russian Guard, are strong and high-quality Praetorian Guards (personal guards).

 "If there is a conspiracy, he will be able to rely on them. And they understand: if there is no Putin - where will that Kadyrov, that Prigozhin be? No matter who comes, even people from the FSB, Patrushev's son will sit down - they will both be removed, because they are unnecessary  , these are the personal relationships of Putin himself, but in no way are the obligations of the system itself towards these people," he concluded.
