Putin makes whole series of suicidal decisions - Piontkovsky
Political scientist Andriy Piontkovsky believes that the decision on mobilization, which brought war to every Russian home, is more destructive for Putin's government.
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"Pseudo-referendums are not a single hysterical decision by Putin, it was a whole series of decisions after his return from the summit in Samarkand, where he was shocked. He was going there as if to his allies. His propaganda all the time said: for us, the majority of humanity (that is, they 1,5 billion Chinese were added to 1.5 billion Indians). But he was met coldly and explained that it is impossible to introduce politics in this way in the 21st century," Piontkovsky noted.
The political scientist also added that the general mood in Asian countries is completely unexpected for Putin.
"Even such vassals as the prime minister of Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan were demonstratively late for a meeting with Putin. And this was his bandit trick - he made even Queen Elizabeth wait for 15 minutes in front of Buckingham Palace. He kept the Popes in the reception room for two hours . And then he felt contempt for himself, and it shocked him. And when he returned, on the morning of September 19, he made a whole series of suicidal decisions. Among them, the holding of pseudo-referendums, and annexation, and mobilization," Piontkovsky noted.
