Sergiy Gerasymchuk, director of the Regional Initiatives and Neighborhood Program of the Foreign Policy Council Ukrainian Prism, believes that the main reasons for Putin's removal from power could be the capitulation of the Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine or the start of internal political processes

He expressed his opinion on the air of Espreso.TV.

"If we talk about Putin, then I believe he will go to the end, because his own life is at stake for him. Not only his dreams of "great Russia" and total power, but also his own life. And now there are no reasons that convinced him to make any concessions, except for internal processes in Russia itself. Only radical internal processes in the Russian Federation will be able to remove Putin from power", Gerasymchuk explained.

Gerasymchuk added that another reason for removing Putin from power could be the capitulation of the Russian Federation in the war against Ukraine. According to Gerasymchuk, Russia has no other grounds for a change of power.

"I also believe that the complete surrender of the Russian Federation in the war will also become one of the reasons for Putin's removal from power. The situation with the Russians themselves is now very difficult.  There, the TV wins over the refrigerator, and therefore it is useless to hope for any radical internal processes in the Russian Federation. Another thing is the richest people in Russia. They are accustomed to a luxurious life. So far, the sanctions have not fully worked, but we can already hear the whining of Russian oligarchs. Therefore, it is them who can become the driving force in removing Putin from power", added Gerasymchuk.
