Kadyrov is living in post-Putin Russia, his agreements with Putin are coming to end - Piontkovsky
Renowned political scientist Andrey Piontkovsky says that Russia's security forces hate Kadyrov, and that after Putin's defeat, they will pounce on Kadyrov, who will again have to defend Ichkeria's (Chechnya's) independence.
He expressed this opinion on Espreso.
"You need to know the attitude of the Russian military towards Kadyrov - they have always hated him. After all, Putin lost Kadyrov's war, so he pays a huge tribute. And Kadyrov emphasizes with every statement that he is not some head of a federal subject, but the head of an independent state that is in a personal union with Putin. That is, only this personal union connects him with the Russian Federation," the political scientist noted.
Andriy Piontkovsky explained that Kadyrov is playing a difficult game because he understands that Putin will be removed from power after his defeat. All security forces, from the FSB to the military, hate Kadyrov because they did not agree with the outcome of the war when Putin started paying tribute, so they will turn on Kadyrov.
"Therefore, we will have to defend the independence of Ichkeria again, as he calls the Chechen state. That is why Kadyrov emphasizes his independence, besides, he works for the Chechen audience, demonstrating that "I am strong" and "I am dictating to the Russians here." He is already in the post-Putin Russia, which will begin to disintegrate. Although there is nothing to disintegrate, because Chechnya has never been part of Russia, it is just a personal agreement between Kadyrov and Putin, which is already ending. And the conflict, between the military on one side and the criminal Prigozhin and Kadyrov on the other, will be inevitable. "The second army of the world" turned out to be helpless in front of the Ukrainian army, but, I assure you, they will have enough strength to fight back against the armies of Kadyrov and Prigozhin," Piontkovsky noted.
