Fear without respect: Kremlin, government sources suggest Putin had 'gone rogue' - Russian media
Russian leader Vladimir Putin reportedly no longer consults with his ministers about the consequences of decisions he makes
This was reported by the Russian publication Meduza with reference to sources close to the Kremlin and the Russian government.
"Until recently, the vice-prime ministers and ministers worked for the president at least by Google. He voiced to them the scenarios he considered probable, and asked: "And if we do that, what consequences can we expect? And if so, what will happen next?" Now there is no such thing," the source noted.
An interlocutor of the publication close to the government claims that many of his subordinates feel fear, not respect, for him.
"Fear of him to hell. But it's fear without respect. There has been no respect (for Putin - ed.) for a couple of years," said the interlocutor.
Two more sources close to the government and one source close to the Kremlin told about such sentiments in the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to interlocutors of the publication, the president gradually stopped warning ministers about his plans in the near or distant future. He makes all key decisions after a short conversation with his "inner circle". According to some data, these are the heads of special services and law enforcement agencies. For several years now, "everything has been falling on my head without warning," added one of the interlocutors.
