Ukraine is "against all odds" nation

What are we contributing to the world today?

In three concise points

• Our political history stands in contrast to our fertile Black Earth. Despite the constant presence of an authoritarian empire and zones of conflict and suffering, Ukraine could have remained a place where freedom and dignity struggled to take root. We are becoming an example of how freedom can prevail against all odds. Ukraine, in essence, is a nation born and existing in contradiction. Contra spem spero. This serves as an example for the world, especially for those who have been enslaved: freedom can thrive even in the most challenging conditions.
• We are shattering the stereotype that creativity can only flourish in safe environments. Our story demonstrates that creativity can thrive in the face of danger, and danger can actually stimulate creativity. We reaffirm the wisdom, often forgotten in safe countries, that creativity can flourish under adversity.
• Progress can only be achieved through a balance between hedonism and asceticism. Excessive hedonism may lead to complacency, while excessive asceticism can stifle growth. Hedonism is necessary to appreciate the small joys of life, while asceticism helps us make sacrifices for greater purposes. Perhaps we are currently learning to strike this balance.

However, all of this only holds meaning if we can survive and overcome adversity, both as a nation and as individuals and communities. Today, the fragility and mortality of human existence are more apparent than ever. Yet, this fragility also serves as a source of love, and love is unbreakable.
