Specially brought Russians to vote in sham elections in occupied Ukrainian territories
Pavlo Lysianskyi, director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Security, says that 62% of the candidates, Russian citizens who have never lived in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, will participate in the sham elections
He said this on Espreso TV.
"We received the lists of candidates who will participate in the sham elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Those lists will include approximately 62% of Russian citizens who have never lived in Ukraine before. And when we started monitoring the voter lists, we saw that there are about 50% of people who have never lived in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine," said the director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Security.
Pavlo Lysianskyi explained that the voter lists include military personnel, ‘imported’ Russians, and migrants from Central Asia who were issued Russian passports.
"To summarize, I will tell you that in these sham elections, imported Russians who have never lived in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine will vote for candidates who are also Russian citizens and have never lived in these territories of Ukraine," the law enforcement officer emphasized.
He added that in those territories there is a percentage of collaborators from Ukraine, that is, Ukrainians who once supported the Party of Regions, the Communist Party of Ukraine, and the Opposition Platform for Life. But most local residents do not support these elections.
