Russian attack on Pokrovsk: police show video from scene, cameras record 2nd strike
This week Russia attacked Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. Immediately afterward, police and rescuers arrived at the scene, but Russia launched another missile
The video was posted on the Facebook page of the National Police of Ukraine.
"This is footage of police officers arriving in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, from police body cameras. Right from the scene of the terrorist attack. A chronicle that is our present," commented Ivan Vyhivskyi, head of the National Police.
Then, on August 7, Russian troops struck twice with Iskander missiles – first on a residential building. Half an hour later, while police and rescuers were searching the area, Russian troops struck another civilian facility nearby.
Nine people were killed and 86 injured, including 2 children.
Among the injured are 36 police officers: paramedics, explosives experts, district police officers, juvenile police officers, and others.
"Strikes on civilian objects are a common pattern of our enemy’s behavior. We have been witnessing daily acts of genocide for a year and a half. And double strikes on people, targeting medics, rescuers and police officers, is an exclusive and inherent practice of terrorists and inhumans," emphasized Vyhivskyi.
