West claims "clear evidence" of China's weapons supply to Russia for Ukraine war
Western officials have indicated that they have obtained evidence of China's arms sales to Russia, which could signify a significant escalation in Beijing's involvement in the war against Ukraine
The Times reported the information, citing a Western official.
According to him, the allies have received a report indicating that a Chinese company has supplied Russia with a number of special military drones that are now being used in Ukraine.
The source did not disclose the name of the company, but noted that the deal took place last year and emphasized that there is “clear evidence now that Chinese companies are supplying Russia with deadly weapons for use in Ukraine.”
The official also confirmed the previously published information about Russia's creation of an arms program in China to develop and produce long-range strike UAVs.
Earlier, Reuters wrote that the Russian company IEMZ Kupol informed the Russian Defense Ministry that it had launched mass production of drones at a plant in China for use in the war against Ukraine.
