Ukraine’s potential elections could serve as “second round” for pro-Russian candidate
If the active phase of the war ends, elections will be held in the country, where Russia is likely to employ every possible measure to bring their candidate to power
As I previously mentioned, if the active phase of the war ends, elections will take place in the country, where Russia will go to great lengths to install a pro-Russian candidate. In the past, they actively worked against Poroshenko (Ukraine’s former president - ed.), but Zelenskyy, whom they initially hoped would betray Ukraine, ultimately defied their expectations.
In other words, these elections will be an attempt at a real "second round" for a pro-Russian candidate. Whether he is a civilian or military figure doesn't matter.
I have no doubt that preparations for such efforts are already underway. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve even received anonymous offers to promote certain individuals on TikTok in exchange for money.
That's an intriguing article from Gazeta Wyborcza. It sheds light on how the pro-Russian candidate in Romania was promoted not just on TikTok, but also through a network of fake websites and, crucially, on Telegram. According to reports, this effort was orchestrated by an unknown company based in Warsaw, which employed Ukrainians to carry out the campaign.
So, a pro-Russian candidate in Romania was promoted with Russian money on social media, primarily on Telegram, by Ukrainians.
Now imagine what could happen during Ukrainian elections, both in Ukraine and among refugees.
However, I don't see our services addressing this issue. This could lead to the threat of losing the country.
