The new head of European Union diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, believes that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump must adopt a "hawkish" stance toward Russia if he wants to exert real influence over China

Kallas emphasized that Beijing is "learning from Russia," so defending Ukraine against Moscow will send a "strong signal" to China.
“If you don’t want problems with China, I think you have to be really strong on Russia. If you are really firm and you are not giving them what they want, it’s more probable that you won’t have more wars,” the EU’s top diplomat stated.
The outlet notes that Kallas hinted in her statement that Western support for Kyiv would make China think twice about invading Taiwan.
