Ukraine’s forces strike oil depot in Russia's Bryansk, Taganrog reports missile attack
On the night of December 11, Ukrainian drones targeted an oil depot in Bryansk. Meanwhile, in Taganrog, Rostov region, Russia, officials reported a missile attack that allegedly caused infrastructure damage
This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On December 11, units from Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate struck an oil depot in Russia’s Bryansk region.
The target was a loading point of the Druzhba oil pipeline, responsible for receiving, storing, distributing, and shipping diesel fuel via tanker trucks and rail transport.
According to the General Staff, the strike hit the oil depot, causing a fire to break out.
The Exilenova+ channel was the first to report the attack on the Transneft oil depot in Bryansk, sharing footage of a large fire at the site.
Military Journal noted that satellite images confirm this oil depot has been targeted before.
A powerful explosion occurred at the facility, according to the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel.
The governor of Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, claimed that Russian air defense systems had detected and destroyed 10 UAVs over the area.
He reported no casualties and stated that emergency services were working at the site.
Attack on Taganrog
Taganrog mayor Svetlana Kambulova stated that a UAV attack was underway in the city.
Residents of Taganrog, Rostov region, reported multiple explosions and gunfire, according to ASTRA.
At 04:53 a.m., Russia’s state propaganda agency TASS claimed that Taganrog had been hit by a missile overnight, as per the acting governor. Allegedly, an industrial enterprise was damaged, 14 cars burned, and no injuries were reported.
- The governor of Saratov region, Roman Busargin, also reported a drone attack on a military airfield, claiming air defense forces were operational in response.
