"Evacuate within 1.5 hours": pro-Ukrainian battalions address Russia's Belgorod and Kursk residents
Denis Nikitin, founder of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), has urged residents of the Belgorod and Kursk regions to evacuate within the next 1.5 hours
The Russian Volunteer Corps issued this call.
According to Nikitin, the Russian authorities have not taken any steps to protect or evacuate civilians, while the shelling of Ukrainian cities and villages persists.
"We're compelled to retaliate against military targets in border areas! Evacuate immediately!" Nikitin declared, adding that RVC will commence firing on military installations in the Belgorod and Kursk regions within 1.5 hours of this announcement.
Around 10:30 a.m., the Freedom of Russia Legion, together with RVC, urged all residents of the Kursk and Bryansk regions who are unable to evacuate or are short on time to seek shelter immediately.
Later, RBC-Ukraine, citing its own intelligence sources, wrote that the Russian authorities were blocking the evacuation of civilians in the Belgorod region, and panic was growing among Russians.
"According to sources, the authorities are blocking the evacuation of the population in the Belgorod region. Security forces have surrounded the railway station, and panic is growing among residents," the statement said.
