Russia reports downing 8 drones over Crimea and its territory, one hit Interior Ministry in Kursk
On September 25, explosions were reported in Kursk, Russia. Authorities stated that air defense operations were underway, and drones had targeted private homes and an administrative building. Ukraine's intelligence agency claimed that the drones had struck the Interior Ministry building. Additionally, drones were reportedly shot down over the Bryansk region of Russia and Crimea

Thus, on the night of September 25, four UAVs were allegedly shot down by regular air defense systems over the northwestern part of the Black Sea and over the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
In addition, this morning, Russian air defense allegedly shot down two more Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Kursk region and two over the Bryansk region.
According to the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, the drone attack took place mainly in the central district of Kursk. As a result, several private households and the roof of an administrative building were damaged. In addition, windows in an apartment building were shattered.
According to the governor, air defense systems were activated in the city and there were no casualties.
Later, another drone allegedly crashed in the Kursk district, shattering windows in a private house. Starovoit said he would help the residents restore their property.
Ukrainian intelligence's response
According to LIGA.net, citing sources in Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, the explosions in Kursk were the result of a direct hit by a Ukrainian drone on the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the same time, RBC-Ukraine, citing sources in the special services, reports that a new series of explosions in the Russian city took place in the morning.
According to a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate, the hit on the Interior Ministry building is a continuation of the attacks in Kursk, including the FSB building and the oil refinery.
Ukrainian drone hits the FSB building and oil refinery in Kursk
On the morning of Sunday, September 24, Russia claimed that a Ukrainian UAV had hit the administrative building of the city of Kursk.
According to the governor of the region, the roof was "slightly" damaged as a result of the attack. At the same time, Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate confirmed that the building of the Russian Federal Security Service in Kursk had been hit.
Later, explosions were heard in Kursk again. Locals reported another drone strike and smoke.
Ukrainian Pravda’s source in the Main Intelligence Directorate reported a hit on an oil refinery near the Kursk airfield.
Notably, on September 24, Kursk celebrated its city day. According to the mayor, despite the morning explosions, all events in honor of the holiday will take place in the city.
