Ukraine reports 226 combat clashes at frontline, 63 attacks repelled in Kurakhove direction

On September 19, there were 226 combat clashes at the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian forces launched the most attacks in the Kurakhove direction, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 63 of these assaults

This is stated in the Ukrainian General Staff's report.

On September 19, Russian troops conducted 76 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, dropping 115 KABs. They also fired more than 4,900 rounds, including 192 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, three firefights took place near Vovchansk and Tykhe.

In the Kupyansk direction, the number of attacks amounted to 13 over the last day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russia's assault near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka and Hlushkivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russia attacked 28 times near Makiivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske and Torske.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assaults near Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Dariivka and Vyimka. A total of eight firefights took place.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attacked three times near Kurdiumivka and Ivanivske.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops launched 14 attacks near Toretsk, Shcherbynivka and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 41 assault attacks near 7 settlements, where the invading Russian troops, supported by aviation, tried to force Ukraine's units out of their positions. The highest concentration of attacks was near Novohrodika and Marynivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed 63 attacks near 4 settlements, where the Russian units tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops carried out six assault actions near Vuhledar, Rivnopole and Katerynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army keeps trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Six Russian attacks failed near 4 settlements.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, there were three combat clashes in the island zone of the Dnipro delta.

In the Huliaipole direction, the situation did not change significantly.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected.

Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Russian aviation continues to bomb its own territory. Over the past 24 hours, Russian aircraft conducted eighteen air strikes, dropping 27 KABs.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia maintains a military presence, shells populated areas from its territory, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.

Strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces

Yesterday, Ukraine's aviation, missile forces and artillery launched 26 strikes on Russian personnel and weapons concentrations, and hit two command posts, three missile troops' facilities, two air defense facilities and three UAV control posts.

Russian losses

Over the past day, Russia's losses amounted to 1,340 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also neutralized 20 Russian tanks, 39 armored combat vehicles, 35 artillery systems, two air defense systems, 52 operational and tactical UAVs, one cruise missile, 59 vehicles and six units of special equipment.

  • Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,130 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders destroyed 14 Russian tanks and 13 armored combat vehicles.
