Energy, frontline situation, weapons production: Zelenskyy holds Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting
On September 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, addressing three important issues
He reported this on Telegram.
"An important meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. Issues that are critical to the strength of Ukraine. The first is the protection of energy this winter," the president wrote.
The meeting participants heard a report from Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
"We reviewed the state of engineering protection of facilities, the schedule for completing fortifications, the deployment of electronic warfare and air defense, in particular, taking into account the Patriot systems that we expect in the near future," Zelenskyy said.
The second issue discussed at the meeting was the domestic production of missiles, drones, and electronic warfare equipment. The meeting featured reports by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
"Solutions that will allow our industry to maximize its potential: long-term contracts from the state and attracting foreign investment," the president said.
The third issue was the situation at the front. Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Defence Intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov, Foreign Intelligence Service head Oleh Ivashchenko reported on this issue.
- According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have carried out 123 attacks at the front. Russia is most active in the Kurakhove direction.
