I don't understand who to talk to and what to talk about. I'm not sure Putin is alive - Volodymyr Zelenskyy
At the Economic Forum in Davos, the Ukrainian President said that there are no representatives of Russia with whom he could negotiate. He also noted that he was not sure whether Vladimir Putin was alive at all
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this while speaking online at the Ukrainian Breakfast event in Davos.
"I don't quite understand who to talk to and about what. I'm not sure that the Russian president who sometimes appears against a green-screen chromakey (a green cloth that helps change the background in the video) is actually the [right] one. I don't quite understand if he is alive or whether he makes decisions, or whoever else makes decisions there. What group of people [could be making any decisions in Russia]? I don’t have that kind of information," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President emphasized: Russia must first propose candidates to be negotiated with, and then make statements about them.
"I just don't quite understand with whom we are dealing. When we say "peace talks", I don't quite understand with whom. It seems to me that Russia should first find ‘someone’ and then suggest "something," the head of state summarized.
