Ukraine lobbies for increased global pressure on terrorist state in Davos - Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine will lobby for increased global pressure on Russia during the annual forum in Davos
He stated this in his evening address.
“The work of the annual forum in Davos, a traditionally powerful global political and economic platform, began today,” he said.
Zelenskyy noted that “the world hears Ukraine in Davos - there they know what Russia has done to Dnipro city, they know what terrorists are doing to Kherson, to Kharkiv, to our Donbas and other territories to which Russia has brought death. And we lobby for increased global pressure on the terrorist state.”
He also expressed confidence that after the results of this week, the world will become more active and influential supporters of the creation of a tribunal on Russian aggression and a special mechanism for compensating war losses at the expense of Russian assets.
“It is very important: the First Lady of Ukraine presented today in Davos all the elements of our Peace Formula, including the principle clause on justice - and this implies full responsibility of Russian terrorists for everything committed. And we feel the world's support for our diplomatic initiative,” he added.
Zelenskyy also noted that everything is being done so that “this support becomes truly global and that steps to end Russian aggression and restore security are taken by all influential participants in international relations.”
