He expressed his opinion on Espreso TV.

“Xi Jinping is on the rise right now, he has just won two outstanding victories. Domestically, he has won a soft coup d'état in China and ended the legacy of Deng Xiaoping, with demands to change party leaders. For the third time, Xi Jinping took over the three highest positions: party chairman, head of state, and military committee. He also proclaimed himself the Chinese emperor. Beijing, Iran, and Saudi Arabia are geopolitical rivals in the Middle East, but they are also directly involved in the civil war in Yemen and compete in other Arab countries. They are also the leading countries that consider themselves to be the spiritual leaders of the two branches of Islam, Shiite and Sunni. China can say without exaggeration that it has ended the millennial religious war in Islam between the Sunni and Shiite sects,” Piontkovsky explained.

Andrey Piontkovsky added that Xi Jinping is now somewhat dizzy from these outstanding successes. He does not understand Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, the degree of determination of the Ukrainian people to defend their independence.

“Xi hopes that he will be able to save Putin, get him out of a hopeless situation and give him an 'honorable' draw. All of this is well understood by the Ukrainian leadership. We need to tell Xi, with all due respect to all the regalia of the Chinese emperor, but in a tough way. Why should we run around with him more than with Macron and Scholz? Then they were sent to the address of the 'Russian warship' with their plan, but this did not spoil relations with any of them. By the way, it is since then that France and Germany have begun to behave more responsibly and more pro-Ukrainian,” Piontkovsky emphasized.
