We choose democracy or form filtration camps for collaborators - Yagun
Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine 2014-2015, Major General of the SSU Reserve Viktor Yagun believes that the Ukrainian authorities need to make decisions on punishing collaborators who were openly engaged in pro-Russian activities in Ukraine
He expressed his opinion on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"We need to decide whether we live in a democratic society, or, however controversial it may sound, we live according to the laws of war and begin to form filtration camps for collaborators in Ukraine. Just like the United States did during World War II, or Canada during World War I. Then, for example, in the United States, the Germans and the Japanese ended up in filtration camps. Let's form filtration camps and gather there people suspected of treason, but we will not condemn them. We want to follow this path!?", Yagun explained.
Yagun noted that the Ukrainian authorities should make a decision regarding the people who openly called on the Russian invaders to Ukrainian territory.
"The Ukrainian authorities must decide what to do with people who openly called the Russians to Ukraine and helped them. Not only media professionals are among such people, but also politicians. Therefore, let's make a decision that such people should not only be deprived of their positions, but be banned from engaging in political activities for a certain time", Yagun added.
