The first explosion occurred at 16:20, followed by another at 16:37, and a third at 16:51.
Later, Viacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed one person had been killed in the attack.
"Russia launched a triple missile strike on a residential area on the outskirts of Chernihiv. Several houses were severely damaged. One person has been confirmed dead, and others are wounded. Search and rescue teams are still working," he said.
- Aviation expert Valerii Romanenko believes that Russian forces are increasing the number of ballistic missile attacks on Ukraine due to the lack of air defense systems capable of destroying them.
